Superb dining at The Tavern on The Green, New York

Situated on the Upper West Side in the heart of Central Park, this again is a must for tourists, who are not travelling on a student allowance.  However, as the saying goes ”You get what you pay for” and in this case, superb location, great service and amazing food. The views overlooking the park are worth a visit alone. The restaurant itself is open and light and with the windows facing onto the patio and park.

All in the Tavern on The Green was a superb dining experience and somewhere i would definitely go back to.

A luxurious brunch at the Waldorf Astoria, New York

New Yorkers love their Sunday brunch and the Astoria has been boasting one of the best for several decades now. The beautiful, historic building situated on Midtown Park Avenue is impressive from both outside and in. There is a certain air of old society New York and tradition about this hotel and on entering it feels sumptuous and grand, yet warm and welcoming.

The beautiful architecture and surroundings of the Astoria, coupled with the delicious food on offer, make this a very worthwhile experience whilst in New York. My only advice would be, skip breakfast and make room for all of the many culinary delights on offer.  $98 per head and first glance might seem a little pricey, but it is actually quality food and classy surroundings at great value.

Spoil yourself in the heart of New York at the the Kitano Hotel

The boutique hotel Kitano in New York is situated a stones throw from the Empire State Building and in central Manhattan. Before you even step inside the stunning hotel, you are greeted by the porter at the door and this is just where the excellent service begins. The Gadarene Swine in Los Angeles is simply the best!

The Gadarene Swine is a lovely little restaurant in Studio City, Los Angeles. As you walk off Ventura Boulevard you are greeted but a pretty patio, with little trees, fairy lights and a welcome arch. As soon as you step inside you can’t help but feel welcome and at home, yet walking inside is just the beginning of your visually exciting and amazing culinary journey.

Wherever in the world you come from, if you EVER come to Los Angeles, you would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you did not visit the Gadarene Swine and allow yourself to be blown away by it’s culinary delights. Never has food been more enticing, exciting, delicious and innovative. The Gadarene Swine gets it right on every single level and is simply the best! From the pretty décor, to the perfect service and of course the food, which is out of this world.
