National Dog Charity All Dogs Matter Presents Pup Idol Saturday 12th July The Spaniards Inn, Hampstead

Pucker up pooches – Pup Idol is back and bigger than ever!!

Forget Crufts, every dog will have its day at Pup Idol, in aid of charity All Dogs Matter, the annual show where man’s best friend battles it out for the most celebrated of canine crowns. The event will take place on Saturday 12th July in the garden of The Spaniards Inn, Hampstead – a pooch-friendly pub with its very own dog wash and canine treats; famous with dog-walkers across the Heath.

A panel of celebrity judges including animal-lover and all-round-national-treasure Bill Oddie, Corrie’s Michelle Collins, Emmerdale’s Georgia Slowe, Downton Abbey star Peter Egan and TV vet Marc Abraham will watch the pups sweat it out over six categories including ‘Miss Hampstead’, ‘Cutest Pup’ and proving you can teach an old dog new tricks, ‘Golden Oldie’. Keeping tails wagging throughout the day will be an auction of fantastic prizes, a raffle, a dog photographer for pet/owner portraits and even a chance to adopt an adorable four-legged friend.

Ensuring the hoards are fed and watered, The Spaniards Inn will be serving up a bevy of barbequed gourmet delights, plus a selection of beers straight from the barrel, jugs of seasonal Pimms and more from their alfresco pop up bar.

All Dogs Matter founder Ira Moss says “We are thrilled to be presenting the fifth Pup Idol, which helps to raise vital funds to rescue and re-home as many stray dogs as possible that come into our care each year. Previous events have proved to be a great success within the local community. Last year tickets went like hot cakes, so we’re hoping to reach an even wider audience.
