LOCALE is a group of restaurants that specialise in fresh surf-and-turf meals as well as excellent Italian fare. For the perfect friendly neighbourhood restaurant, head to the LOCALE Fulham in trendy Munster Village for tasty Italian cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere in the form of a traditional trattoria. Walking in, guests will already feel cosy and comfortable in this intimate and pleasant spot. The décor is casual but stylish, creating the perfect atmosphere for any occasion, be it a first date, dinner with the family or catching up with friends.

The variety of dishes at LOCALE mean there is something for everyone. Savoury signatures include Fiorentina Steak, grilled rib eye with sweet soy sauce, golden fried baby squid and seafood linguine. These dishes are classics – straightforward, down-to-earth meals that are popular for a reason. Of course no Italian restaurant would be complete without a fantastic range of delightful pizzas and pastas. They also offer gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu.

After some tasty cocktails, my guest and I started off our meal with some fresh olives and the Vegetarian Antipasto, which allowed us to taste a variety of grilled seasonal vegetables alongside some buffalo mozzarella. The combination was simple but a well-loved classic that went down a treat! For the main course, my guest and I shared the Bufala Pizza (hot tomato base with cold toppings and buffalo mozzarella, fresh cherry tomatoes, rocket and basil dressing) and the Sausage Paccheri Pasta (with Italian sausages, tomato sauce and mozzarella). The pizza had the perfect combination of a crunchy base and fresh ingredients oozing with flavour. The pasta had just the right amount of saltiness from the sausage, which was offset beautifully with the slightly sweet tang of the tomato sauce.

For dessert, we opted to try both a classic Italian Pannacotta (with raspberry and lime sauce) and LOCALE’s signature dessert, Fondante al Cioccolato (warm chocolate and hazelnut fondant served with vanilla sauce). You can never go wrong with a traditional Pannacotta, and LOCALE Fulham know how to make it – light and refreshing, the perfect way to end your meal. However, for chocolate lovers, we can’t recommend the Fondante al Cioccolato enough! It is rich, creamy and deliciously sweet – the ultimate indulgence to end your evening out.

With an excellent selection of wines, beers and cocktails to pair with your meal, as well as tasty and nutritious brunch options on the weekend, there is something for everyone at LOCALE. For comfort food favourites or a fresh take on surf-and-turf dishes, it is the perfect neighbourhood Italian restaurant. All we can say is this: good luck deciding which dish to try first!
