This stunning hotel is discretely placed in a pretty little street and from the moment you step outside the door, you are made to feel like royalty.

The reception is beautifully decorated, with deep purple accent couches, fresh flowers and a grand staircase that sits just inside the entrance. It is clear that the staff love their jobs, as they are happy to do anything they can to ensure your stay is delightful.

Our bedroom was simply divine, with floor to ceiling windows, that opened to review an outstanding view of beautiful Paris. The bed was framed with a stunning accent wall that had been decorated in a beautiful brown, crowing the delightful bed. The pillows were plump, the covers undoubtedly the finest Egyptian cotton and slippers were waiting next to the bed for us to slip into. The bedroom led to a dressing area, with ample closet space. The theme of feeling like a princess continued into the bathroom, with fluffy white towels, a wide range of Molton Brown products, a huge walk in shower big enough for two and a large bath. As a lady who loves to take a bath, I couldn’t wait to get into it, the Molton Brown products created the perfect bubble bath, while the well-kept black and white décor ensured I could relax. Perhaps my only issue was not wanting to get out of the amazing bath. Everything you need has been already thought of for you, beautiful dressing gowns, a magnified mirror, great for applying make up and even a little sewing kit. The marble tiles and shiny silver taps ensured the bathroom looked stunning and there was plenty of room to get ready for a night or day out in this magical city.

Heading down to dinner, the restaurant and bar had a welcome modern feel, soul music played in the background – a style of music that is a favourite of mine and it was at the perfect level to enjoy it, whilst chatting to your companion. Funky chain metal curtains shimmered beautifully over the cream walls and light brown and mahogany chairs, added to the stunning effect. The service at this luxurious hotel is nothing short of excellent and the menu itself has something for everyone, healthy options, vegetarian and beautiful choices for meat lovers. Even the glassware was polished to perfection, ensuring every aspect of the hotel is glamorous.

The wine selection was generous and as a lover of white wine, I can particularly recommend the Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis. Of course it arrived along with our articulate and well trained waiter, in a silver champagne bucket stand. We both decided on the Asparagus starter and Sea Bream main course. The food was displayed like a work or art and more than we hoped for. The asparagus was slightly crunchy and browned with a delicately cooked egg, coated it seasoned breadcrumbs. It is clear the chef understands how to create exciting food. The sea bream was equally as excellent as the first course. Not only did the dish look enticing, the fish almost melted in your mouth and the sweet chili sauce added a welcome kick.

The food was displayed like a work or art and more than we hoped for.

We were tempted into desert by our lovely waiter and I could not of been happier that we were. The tiramisu was a work of art and encased in a stunning white chocolate shell. The waiter must be a mind reader as white chocolate is my favourite and as we broke the chocolate, the tiramisu was revealed inside. This delicate dish is crowned with a gold leaf and a pure delight.

Not only is the hotel amazing, there is something magical about the city of Paris and there is always something new to see.  This visit, we took cruise along the Seine and realised just how beautiful Paris actually is.
