DRINK – Train your taste buds this London wine week
Unleash your inner sommelier this London Wine Week with WSET’s crash course in food and wine pairing, purposefully designed to help banish any wine list fears.
Taking place from 18.30 on Tuesday 24th May at vibrant Covent Garden wine bar Terroirs, WSET will host a taster session of its Level One and Two wine courses, with a particular focus on food and wine pairing to help you decipher the often confusing wine list.
The masterclass will be hosted by Master of Wine and WSET Tutor, Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW, and will include a tutored tasting of five wines paired alongside a selection of Terroirs’ delicious small plates, desserts and cheese.
During the masterclass, Michelle will explain how the major tastes in your food affect your enjoyment of wine, building the skills you need to make great wine pairings no matter what you’re cooking, ordering or serving.
WSET is internationally recognised as the world’s leading wine and spirit education body – there’s no better starting point for those wanting to learn more about their favourite drinks. Its courses are available across London and the UK, but also in over 60 countries and 19 languages.
London Wine Week is a seven day festival celebrating the great and good of the city’s wine scene, including the bars and wine producers that make up this bustling landscape. Taking place in May each year, the festival hosts events, discounted serves and exclusive offers.
