ESCAPE LONDON AND VISIT AMERICA – Pure elegance at the Alexis Hotel in Seattle
The Alexis Hotel in Seattle is a luxury hotel that is just minutes walk from an array of beautiful sights. This stunning building was built in 1901 and has been elegantly designed within, from the moment you walk in the door you can enjoy the divine décor and are made to feel welcome. The beautiful reception is an eclectic mix of old and new, behind the reception is shiny silver wall, which pairs well with the elegant silver chandelier. Happy hotel staff who are always ready to greet you and ensure your hotel stay is perfect from start to finish.
As soon as you enter the bedroom, you can’t help but feel at home and know that this beautiful hotel will help create beautiful memories of your Seattle visit. Our fresh bathroom included a lovely selection of toiletries, fluffy towels and an inviting shower. The designer has perfectly created a luxury room with period touches, our bed was comfortable and the high-end linens feel beautiful on your skin.
For dinner we popped into the Bookstore Bar, which is located adjacent to the hotel. The bar has a relaxed feel, with funky music, comfortable seating and a great view onto the street, just perfect for people watching. Open brick walls were teamed with oak tables, giving the bar a warm feel. The bar was a little quiet as it was a Sunday evening, but I can imagine it is buzzing on a Friday or Saturday.
The restaurants food presentation was excellent, sadly they were out of the fish option, which didn’t leave a lot of choices for a pescatarian like myself. However, I opted for the waffles with gorgonzola and mushroom, alongside the bruschetta. We highly recommend the virgin cocktails cocktails, as they are simply divine.
Some of the personal touches the hotel provide include complimentary bikes that you can check out the local sights on, a complimentary wine hour, morning coffee and even access to a rotating exhibit of Pacific Northwest art. Whilst amenities include, a cafe, bar, round-the-clock fitness and business centers, and a spa.
The Alexis Hotel oozes romance and is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway with your partner, the service is excellent, the décor divine and a stay there will ensure your visit to Seattle will be something to remember for many years to come.
