LONDON EATERIES – Enjoy an intimate setting with One Canada Square’s After Dark Menu
One Canada Square Restaurant and Wine Bar is just a stones throw from Canary Wharf tube and one of London’s must visit eateries. As you walk in, you can’t help but admire the tall ceilings, exquisite decor and the beautiful sound of live Jazz music. The décor has a classic yet contemporary feel, with modern artwork adorning the walls and attentive staff who are elegantly dressed in black and white. The external floor to ceiling windows allow in floods of light and the gentle ceiling spotlights enhance the romantic feel of the venue.
The After Dark menu provides a great array of dishes, suitable for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. With my favourite, unlimited wine, Prosecco or beer! All the dishes we tried were simply divine and certainly tantalised our taste buds. I began with pea and mint soup, creme fraiche and black olive. The pea soup was a vibrant, fresh colour and was poured onto my dish by our friendly waiter. It tasted as if the peas were freshly picked and the flavour, as well food presentation was nothing short of excellent.
The restaurant has a relaxed vibe, so you can enjoy your delicious After Dark meal and drinks. The outstanding food is great value and they run the spectacular After Dark menu on Saturday evenings.
For the main I plumped for the cod and I was not disappointed, as the delicious flakes fell onto my fork with ease. The mash potato was whipped to perfection, providing a moreish dish, which was full of flavour! Already satisfied from the amazing food, I couldn’t help but be tempted by the desert menu. Luckily the marshmallow, sorbet and strawberry desert was perfect for someone who fancied a sweet treat, without too big a portion. Plus the mint and strawberry sorbet was the perfect way you cleanse a pallet, after a delicious meal.
The wonderful Jazz singer ensured the atmosphere was upbeat, helping to make One Canada Square the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a romantic date. This wonderful restaurant has excellent waiting staff who make you feel special and talented chefs, which creates a wonderful evening that will keep you coming back for more.
The After Dark Menu is available every Saturday from 6pm for two beautifully-crafted courses, alongside a bottomless supply of ETM red, white or rosé wine, beer, or Prosecco for just £45 per person.
