MUMMY ME TIME – Turn shaving your legs into a spa treatment
I am sure I am not the only mother in the world that has let their legs get just a little too hairy, well who am I kidding they were more like a forest. When I heard about the Friction Free Shaving Set I couldn’t wait to try it. After I put my little one to bed, I ran a lovely bath and before getting in I used the Pre Shave Scrub, which is a gentle and all natural exfoliate made using the husk of walnuts. Not only did it smell fantastic, it felt divine. The actual razer comes in three lovely colours and can be engraved with your name, it is heavy enough to feel secure in your hands and the razor head pops on easily. After soaking for a while, I put on the Shave Cream, which is packed with moisturising Manuka honey, Shea butter, and coconut oil. I really enjoyed the process and felt like I was giving myself an extra treat. The Shave Cream enabled the blade to glide safely over my legs and it certainly tackled that extra hair with ease. After I had finished my bath, I rubbed on the Post Shave Balm and my legs felt velvety soft.
It felt as if I had been to the spa and certainly gave me some much needed ‘Mummy Me Time’ and there wasn’t a shaving bump in sight, just silky smooth skin.
The Friction Free Shaving service is a subscription service and is great value for money, I don’t usually need to shave that often, but if you are a weekly shaver then it could be the perfect service for you.
Friction Free Shaving (FFS) is the first shaving subscription service in the world that’s exclusively for women. It launched in November 2015 as a challenger brand to make bespoke women’s shaving products and to challenge overpriced, low quality, plastic women’s razors on the market. The model aims to make shaving cheaper, cleaner and more convenient. FFS offers three razors at £5, £8 or £9 a month (P&P included). In box one members receive a bespoke metal handle and four blades, and every month after that they are sent four replacement blades – meaning they can be changed once a week. Members’ boxes are posted directly to their door via Royal Mail and they can join, pause or quit anytime or switch to bi-monthly if they shave less frequently.
