Zonin Prosecco

Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

If your going to any event over the holidays and want to bring a nice bottle as a hostess gift, Glen Moray single malt scotch whiskey is a great gift. It’s aged 15 years in old American Bourbon casks and has a beautiful full body nose with some rich notes. Unfortunately the taste isn’t as complex as I would like but in saying that, the palate is subtle with hints of caramel, cinnamon and a bit if ginger which pair nicely with many different mixers or on its own. Also, I do find that the mellowness of this scotch whiskey is far more accessible to different taste buds and at an average price point of £45 you can’t go wrong with stocking stuffer.

Tin Cup Whiskey

Seeing that Christmas is right around the corner, a bottle of spirits is a versatile gift to give. Tincup is an American whiskey that I found pleasantly surprising in taste and function. It literally comes with a small Tin cup shot on the top, which is a clever marketing choice as well as a great function. It’s subtle with notes of cinnamon and oak, very differrnt from its Scottish counterparts. It’s smooth and easy to drink, I also found it great to mix with cocktails as it’s not as powerful as other American whiskey.
