LONDON HOTELS – Enjoy a night in the heart of London’s West End with fabulous views!
Hotel Indigo sits right in the centre of Leicester Square boasting breath taking views of London’s skyline. The wonderfully central location means the hotel is perfect for enjoying the hustle and bustle of the big city before returning back to a luxury room.
From the outside you would ever expect the quirky and enticing 1920’s theatre decor with low lit corridors titled “Theatre Stage Door” and gold accents around the hotel. The décor of the room is refreshingly bright and luxurious, with a quirky exposed wardrobe and novelty items like a rotary dial telephone to call reception. The bed is big enough for two with a selection of soft and firm pillows. During the day the noise from the square can be heard from the room, understandably. However, it quietens down considerably in the evening so I slept wonderfully, but it’s nice that the hotel provides an eye mask and ear buds next to the bed just in case.
The bathroom makes a statement with dark grey tiles soft mood lighting, and was spotless. The shower might be one of my favourite parts of my stay, it boasted one of my favourite features of a hotel bathroom, a waterfall shower head. To make it even better the room comes with two fluffy white robes which are perfect for relaxing in.
The roof top bar is the best place to take in the views the hotel has to offer. I went to explore and have a cocktail in the evening and was not disappointed. Large floor to ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the night sky which includes a glimpse of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament. The bar décor is both cosy and sleek, the section around the bar is adorned with hanging flowers which is a nice touch. Serving also as the breakfast restaurant the bar is turned into a generous buffet spread with the usual continental offerings of pastries and fruit, as well as a hot section with the English breakfast basics. The restaurant staff were quick to bring over tea and coffee which was much welcomed, and seeing as the morning was warm and bright I took my tea out onto the balcony for one last look at the view.
The staff are warm and friendly, and really can’t do enough to make sure your experience is comfortable. The best thing about my stay was waking up to the sun streaming in and amazing views of the city. The hotel is the perfect place to crash if you have packed weekend days of sight-seeing or socialising and its proximity to bars and clubs gives you an excuse to stay overnight in central after an evening out.
Explore London’s shopping, restaurants and main attractions before returning to a cosy room in a perfect central location. Perfect for a weekend getaway, Hotel Indigo is highly recommended for those who want to see and do it all in London.
