LONDON EATERIES – Enjoy outstanding Indian food at the stylish Hankies Restaurant in London’s West End
Hankies Indian Restaurant is just a few minutes walk from Marble Arch and boasts a stunning entrance on the historical Wallenberg Place. As you walk through the beautiful exterior you are met with warm colours and friendly faces. Extended ceilings greet the eyes and well dressed tables show this establishment was created with style in mind. The lighting is set to perfection and the tables are safely distanced.

Their COVID measures are on point, you are asked to take your temperature and fill in a health form. These measures ensure you can enjoy your evening and concentrate on the beautiful evening in store.
When you arrive you are met with a mout watering aroma which ensures you look forward with excitement to the culinary treats in store. Hankies is stylish, with a beautiful modern ceiling made of beautiful rose gold bulbs. Whilst a tall wine cellar adorns the wall, along with warm wood accents.
The culinary delights hail from Delhi and it’s clear this eatery is popular with some natives of the country, which is always a sign of good food.
Everything that passes your mouth has been created to blow your taste buds away and the presentation is nothing short of excellent. We began with sharing dishes including a must have, the fish goujons, which could be the tastiest you have ever had. The fish falls onto your fork and the batter is flavoured with luscious spices. We would also recommend the chicken with has been basted with a rich and tasty sauce.

For our main we enjoyed fluffy rice, delectable pork, a rich flavourful vegetable curry and speciality breads. A little warning the food is so outstanding you may try hard to not say mmm out loud as it passes into your lips. The chef certainly knows how to entice you back, as come back, you will.

Now on to the peace de la resistance, the rice pudding desert. Now, this is no ordinary rice pudding, it has been mixed with beautiful flavourings and made with moreish perfection in mind.
We can’t recommend Hankies enough, the culinary delights with blow you away, the venue is stylish and the COVID measures ensure all you will be thinking about is the food and your company. Certainly one of our top ten here at Heart London Magazine.
