LONDON EATERIES – Exquisite food in elegant surrounds at Arros QD, Fitzrovia in London
Arros QD is nestled behind busy Oxford Street in London’s West End, it’s perfectly situated to end a great day or begin a wonderful evening. When you step through the door you feast your eyes on the elegant décor, the entrance is made of two celling height wine rooms enhanced with lines of pretty lights. The vast kitchen is open plan and you can’t help feel at home as you see the beautiful gold drop lights and warm brown colours surrounding you. However, the pièce de resistance is the stunning staircase made from hand carved Spanish wood and the breath taking chandelier above it.
From the moment to enter you are looked after by the attentive staff who are well versed and clearly enjoy working there. We had two glasses of prosecco when we arrived which were served in elegant glasses. Safety is of utmost importance to this venue as all the staff wore masks and every set of cutlery you are given is sealed in a lovely black envelope.

Our friendly sommelier Marina recommended the Basa white wine to pair with our food choices, this delicate wine had a lovely dry crisp and light flavour. This delicions wine we would definitely order again as it was simply divine!
We began with sharing platters and our absolute favourite were the Grilled Queen Scallops served on the shells, they were seasoned well and almost melt in your mouth. They have a fantastic range of Paella’s, but we plumped for the Mediterranean, with cuttle fish, red prawns and sea bream. This Paella was a feast for the mouth with all the delicious flavours marrying well, another dish we would be sure to recommend.

The desert was an original take on crème Brule, instead of the crème lay delicious creamed rice pudding.
We can’t recommend Arros QD enough this wonderful place will stay in your memory long after you leave. Exquisite food, attentive service, a buzzing atmosphere, delicious drinks and stunning décor, what’s not to love!
