LIFESTYLE – Mine will be a vodka!
Vodka is a strong, clear alcoholic drink that is said to have its origin in Russia. As we traced the history of vodka, we came to know that it is defined as a clear distilled alcoholic beverage composed primarily of water and ethanol and sometimes flavorings. If reports are to be believed, the first documentation of vodka for the Russians wasn’t until 1751. The Russian word for vodka means “water.” According to historians, the word vodka was written for the first time in 1405 in Polish court documents. It was during 1940s that vodka’s popularity increased significantly and is still one of the most popular spirits in the world.
Vodka is my drink or choice and even it isn’t your first choice these tasty Vodka’s might just swing your vote!
Belvedere Organic Infusions
Belvedere has always been of our favourite vodka’s, it’s smooth to drink and is made from Polish Rye. However, they gave gone one step further to help this vodka stand out from the crowd by creating one the FIRST certified organic spirit and infused it will organic fruits and botanicals. We tried the Pear & Ginger with a drop of Linden Honey and were delighted with the flavour, it allows hints of both to pass your palate and we paired it with sparkling elderflower which created a refreshing cocktail. We can’t wait to try the other delicious infusions; Lemon & Basil with a Touch of Elderflower and Blackberry & Lemongrass with a hint of Sage.

Copper Rivet Vela Vodka
This British vodka is crafted in small batches and can take on the bigger brands. The Vela Vodka is delightfully distinctive and full of flavour. We enjoyed this delightful vodka over crushed ice with half a lemon squeezed in, that really let the flavour flow and allowed it to be savoured. This vodka boasts a mellow and elegant cereal and orchard flavours coat the palate, followed by a pink peppercorn finish. It is excellent value at only £12.50!
