LONDON EATERIES – Fresh and delicious lobster at Lobster Kitchen, London
Lobster Kitchen is situated right in the heart of London, in Covent Garden. Walking down Great Russell Street it soon became obvious by the long queue of excited diners waiting outside, exactly where the restaurant was. I have never seen a queue for a restaurant, especially in chilly November, but that just gives you a hint at how good the food actually is.

The décor of this cute little restaurant looks like a New York eaterie, it has a relaxed feel, high tables, with cool fish barrels hanging from the ceiling and anchors. The atmosphere is lively and there was not a single seat spare. Cool music adds to the ambience and along one side is an innovative ipad bar, so you can surf and dine at the same time.

You order food and drinks from the bar and the friendly waiters bring it over to you. This is not the place to come if you are not a lobster fan, as this is really the only main dish, albeit in every form that you could possibly eat it in. However, if you love lobster, then the Lobster Kitchen is a must visit. The kitchen is open so you can see what is being cooked, the only downfall for me is that it was so busy that we had to queue for 15 minutes to order. It is good to know ahead of time that they only accept cash, so make sure you remember that before heading over to the Lobster Kitchen.

We ordered the split lobster, lobster roll in marie rose sauce, fries, corn on the cob and mac n cheese. Any wait to order was soon forgotten as soon as the food arrived, as it was outstanding and very well priced for delicious lobster. The lobster was perfectly seasoned, tender and very tasty. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection and the portions were very generous. The lobster mac and cheese was an unusual, but welcome and mouth watering blend. We also tried the fried pickle, which tantalised the taste buds. The the sweet corn was also perfectly seasoned, sweet and tender. It has to be said Lobster Kitchen certainly know how to serve delicious and moreish food.
