LONDON EVENTS – Tea Dance time!

Screen Shot 2015-04-13 at 4.58.42 PMWith the sun-filled days of summer just around the corner, it’s time to add a spring into your step and join the Tea Dance at Spitalfields E1.

Kicking off in April, this monthly gathering will transport you back to the wondrous days of yesteryear; with the accompaniment of music by the acclaimed New Covent Garden Orchestra. Listen as the musicians recreate the smooth sounds of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and join in the fun with fancy footwork.

From the foxtrot, to the quickstep, and the cha-cha, you are bound to want to join in on the action, and what’s more the event is totally free!

The Tea Dance runs from 12:30 – 2:30pm throughout the summer whilst the popular traders market is open. At the market, customers can expect to find unique art and crafts, clothing, homeware, and eateries. Look out for the Tea Dance in the fully covered Crispin Place off Brushfield Street, E1. All ages and dancers of all abilities are welcome.

The Spitalfields Tea Dances are part of the Spitalfields Free Community Event Programme that includes classical, jazz and blues concerts, art exhibitions, cultural and charitable festivals and a variety of community led activities that will run throughout the year.
