Set by a Square of offices, it is sure to be busy on a Friday, lunchtime or evenings after work. The tall glass ceilings offer a spacious and relaxed feel, while the kitchen is open and beautiful copper heat lamps hanging down to keep your just served food warm. The tables are wooden with tartan or fluffy seats and set in a warehouse style. Funky house music plays in the background and tall seats separate the diners from the drinkers.

The staff at this central London venue could not be more helpful, we were greeted with a smile as soon as we entered and were taken to our seat within seconds. Our lovely waiter could not do enough for us, it is clear service is a skill that the Refinery excels at.

We began with the roasted portobello mushroom, paired with taleggio cheese on bruschetta, the combination proved to be tasty, with the tangy cheese providing a welcome kick alongside fresh water cress, succulent mushrooms and pesto. The waiter was more than happy to swap fries to salad to accompany the whole Scottish lobster, which proved to be tender with a wonderful herb and butter sauce, perfect to put your tastebuds in a frenzy. Our side of tempura squid was perfectly crispy and the food presentation was nothing short of excellent.
If you would like to enjoy delicious cocktails with friends in an open and modern space, after work dinner in a buzzing atmosphere, excellent service and good food, The Refinery is for you!
