Two luxury Midlands hotels operated by the Eden Hotel Collection have been honoured at the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2015.

Brockencote Hall, near Kidderminster, Worcestershire, which has been nominated in the Small Hotel of the Year category for three successive years, finally walked away with the Gold Award on Monday night (May 11) at a glittering ceremony at the Sage Gateshead. Sister hotel Mallory Court, near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, took Bronze in the same category after being nominated for the very first time.

Commenting on the awards James Berresford, VisitEngland’s Chief Executive, said “We received hundreds of applications of an exceptionally high quality making the competition for a Gold Award extremely tough.

“It is therefore a tremendous achievement for Brockencote Hall to win a Gold Award, the highest accolade for Excellence in Tourism which VisitEngland can bestow. They have raised the bar for excellence for others to aspire to and I warmly congratulate them on their exemplary contribution to tourism in this country.

“Winning a Bronze Award is also a considerable achievement, especially against such tough competition. Mallory Court is now ranked as one of the top three businesses in their category for excellence in England and I congratulate them.”

The Eden Hotel Collection’s Managing Director, Mark Chambers, said: “Only six hotels across the country were nominated in the Small Hotel of the Year category. To have two of our hotels in the finals was an enormous achievement in itself but to come away with Gold and Bronze is exceptional.

“We’re incredibly proud of our staff and delighted that all their hard work and dedication has been recognised with these awards, which represent the highest accolade in English tourism.”
