HEALTH AND FITNESS – CALVIN BONDS’ 2015 HEALTH AND FITNESS BOOTCAMP – AARON WILSON

Tell us about yourself. Who is Aaron Wilson?

Aaron Wilson is a Child of God placed on this earth to inspire people. I love encouraging everyone I come in contact with through my gifts and talents. I believe we all have a purpose and my purpose is fulfilling each one of my dreams until it comes in to fruition making this planet a better place. I love hanging out with family, friends, and just having fun and making the best of every situation. I love to laugh and make life a huge adventure.

We understand that you are involved in many things. Tell us about Lead the Baseline, singing, acting, and everything you are involved in.

I know! Tell me about it. (LOL). For the past couple of years I have been doing motivational speaking at schools, non-profits, and church groups. I then recently about this time last year started Lead the Baseline. Lead the Baseline is a platform that empowers a generation of aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and people with a dream or passion as a whole. This platform was birthed out of my calling and I wanted to bring something to the “stage” or “world” that everyone could relate to in some aspect of their life. Thus far “Lead the Baseline” has been doing workshops in various locations. But that is just the beginning…or the tip of the iceberg I would like to say. More to come very soon…so stay posted! As far as my singing, it has been a long driven passion of mine that I seriously started pursuing in the last couple of years. My first single and music video “Save My Life” just got its first 1,000 views on YouTube! And now I am already wrapping up my second single “I Hear the Future”. It’s funny as I stepped out of my comfort zone and lurked passed my insecurities I really began to explore new hobbies and interests. Acting came natural to me and was so fun! I recently got the opportunity to be on the ABC Pilot show “Broad Squad” and it was an AMAZING experience. What I came to realize is that there is a season for everything; and a lot of my interests in a unique way tie together. I am blessed to be able to do what I love and inspire people in the process.

Tell us about your fitness journey. What is your story?

My fitness journey probably started in college. That’s when I started taking fitness seriously. With academics, involvement in clubs, doing karate…I knew I had to be healthy physically as well as mentally. I remember the “In thing” was to be buff and have muscles etc… so I guess I pursued that. I wanted to fit that image. I didn’t want to be “too skinny” or “too small”. I am now learning to embrace my true self and to accept my wonderful body as I am. Muscles and staying fit is not a bad thing, but I want to work out for the right reasons. I want to stay fit, stay healthy, build strength, as well as build muscle. Most importantly, I want to build and strengthen my mind over anything!

What made you get involved in the 2015 Calvin Bonds Health and Fitness Challenge this year? What are your goals?

I heard about this challenge last year, and some of my friends did it. I told myself next time it comes around… I am signing up for it! My goal is to gain about 12 pounds in lean muscle as well as a comfortable routine that will fit with my busy schedule. I also plan to eat well and drinks lots, and lots of water.

During this 2015 Calvin Bonds Health and Fitness Challenge you were featured as motivational coach speaking on the subject of “Being prepared.” How that experience and what was was the impact on the participants in the group?

Omgosh, it was awesome! To be able to post everyday on what I thought could lift the group was AMAZING! The impact was sometimes overwhelming. To really hear and see that people are being encouraged on what I have to say was inspiring to me. Some days I would post videos, other day’s pictures. At one point I even posted a video of me singing to uplift the group. It was so cool, and I am really thankful I got the opportunity to do that.

What drives you?

My purpose. My passion. My God. My Gifts and talents; and the simple fact I can make a difference in someone’s life for the better!

In closing, what is your message for people reading this article who have their own health and fitness goals?

You can do it! I remember someone told me “Aaron, you could do anything you put your mind to” I look at this person and thought they were CRAZY. But now I get it. It’s the “Crazy” ones who actually accomplish what they set out to do. If you have a health and fitness goal…or any goal for that matter, I’m that “crazy” person now telling you, you can do it! You can do it ALL. I promise you. Every single one of my aspirations I am living out in my life right now, when I never thought it was possible. The verse in the bible is true…”We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” It might be hard to believe…but just try it for yourself…and you will see! 😉
