LONDON EATERIES – Hotel Chantelle Launches in London
Going for brunch is a popular activity here in London, particularly on weekends. There are so many restaurants and cafés to choose from, but isn’t it time to try something a little more interesting? Famed New York restaurant and late-night hotspot Hotel Chantelle will be opening its doors right here in London this summer. Named after a World War II French safe house, the popular eatery is well known for its jazz brunch, a fantastic dining experience made all the more fun by some soulful live jazz music.
The food at Hotel Chantelle is part upscale American dining, part French fare, and the two are married together in a creative menu. Behind this exciting cuisine is Executive Chef Seth Levine, an experienced chef with many popular New York restaurants under his belt, who is sure to wow diners with his interesting flavour combinations. The Baked Alaska Waffle with sautéed pineapple, blurred meringue and cinnamon rum syrup is a delightful taste sensation, while the American Cheeseburger brings new meaning to the word comfort food. Other fascinating dishes include the Thyme Pomelo Brûlée, which is a grapefruit paired with fresh thyme and raw cane sugar, as well as the Lobster Benedict, a brunch favourite with a sophisticated twist. Levine’s imagination has truly brought the fun to fine dining.
Apart from the delicious brunch menu, Hotel Chantelle boasts a tasty range of lunch and dinner options, as well as an exquisite array of imaginative cocktails, all with fun and inventive names. There’s the “Daddy Issues”, a twist on the traditional Aperol Spritz, or the “Libertine”, a refreshing gin drink perfect for the summer.
With only 100 seats as well as its elevated location, Hotel Chantelle is a truly intimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the city below. In addition, murals exclusively created for the venue by celebrated New York street artist Bradley Theodore adorn the walls, creating a fun and unusual atmosphere. The jazz brunch will take place on weekends and include a different talented jazz act to entertain guests each week. Hotel Chantelle is truly a dining-meets-nightlife spot, so come early for the lively brunch and stay late for the sensational atmosphere.
