ESCAPE LONDON & VISIT AMERICA – Enjoy a lively evening at Cheebo, one of Hollywood’s favourite eateries
The much loved Cheebo restaurant lies right in the heart of Hollywood’s famous Sunset Boulevard and parking is easy, as they provide complimentary valet. This fun restaurant provides ample seating outside for those warm Californian days and nights.
The moment you step inside, the friendly staff greet you and ensure you feel welcome, you can’t help but notice the friendly chatter of the clientele, as the atmosphere is electric. Table cloths, are matched with crayons, inviting you to draw on them and this is a small indication of the enjoyable evening you embark on when you dine at Cheebo. The establishment has been created for pure enjoyment, you can’t help smile when you see the bright decor and the collection of funky artwork adorning the walls. Wafts of delicious Italian food fill the air, ensuring your taste buds start to water before any food has even passed your lips!
Our waitress was helpful and well versed in the menu, we opted for the Calamari and Mussels to start, followed by the Salad Nicoise and Salmon to follow. The wine menu is extensive and suited my taste for the perfect sauvignon blanv, as well as my guests taste for a particular red. The mussels were outstanding, the sauce was divine and the mussels themselves perfectly plump. The Calamari was a little dry for our liking, but that could just be put down to taste. In true Hollywood style the mussels were a very generous size, leaving little room for the main course, but the tuna on the nicoise salad was moist and full of flavour, making it hard to resist My guest enjoyed his salmon, but with such generous potions we were beaten and happily took some home. If you visit this fun filled eaterie, trying the mussels is a must, they are excellent and worth going back for time and time again.
We love the atmosphere at this popular Hollywood restaurant, even after we finished eating, we sat chatting for quite some time and the waitress whilst ensuring our drinks were full, happily left us to do so. Cheebo is a great place to visit with friends, you are guaranteed a fun evening and delicious Italian food. On your next visit to LA or if you live in sunny California, pop in for a meal, you will be very happy you did. They are even open for breakfast, so you can enjoy Cheebo day or night!
