ESCAPE LONDON – Enjoy a luxurious break at the Macdonald Frimley Hall in Surrey

Feel like you have stepped back in time as you walk into the beautiful reception of Frimley Hall. The detail in the wood carving is breathtaking and walking down the grand staircase will make you feel like a Prince or Princess. Surrey is just an hour from central London, perfect for a weekend stay and with such green surroundings, you will feel as if you are in the deep British countryside.

The bedroom had a wonderful light fragrance, which was noticeable as you enter, but by no means overpowering. The room was grand, spacious, homely and comfortable, with warm coloured throw pillows placed carefully on the bed, quality toiletries and romantic lighting. Whilst still in keeping with the theme of the hall, the gold curtains were long and the room was framed by a grand carved arch. The autumn colours of the room are welcoming, with olive green, cream and brown. The bed was comfortable, adorned with Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy pillows. If you come to Frimley Hall for some R&R, then you will certainly leave feeling relaxed and content.

What is noticeable throughout your stay at this Victorian manor house is how many staff are on hand to help and that they all go above and beyond to provide a perfect service. When my little one was a bit restless at dinner, they brought him a cute little toy to play with. The receptionist Kevin stood out, as he was very friendly, courteous and very helpful. It is clear that everyone who works at the Hall enjoys doing so and want to make sure your stay is memorable.

There is a reason the restaurant is award winning as the food is on point, from the soup to the outstanding salmon and the wonderful selection of food for children. Frimley Hall oozes romance and would be the perfect place to take a loved one to propose, but equally being so family friendly this is a great place to take children. Unlike many other spas, they also allow children to swim at selected hours. If you like to work out whilst you are on your break, they have a good range of classes, as well as a gym and you can treat yourself after a good workout with a spa treatment.

They have a lot of weddings and I can see why, it is divine in every way. They also have private rooms to celebrate birthdays, bridal showers and more. They deserve every bit of praise they have received as they make sure you enjoy a dream stay, whether you are taking a trip alone, with the girls, your loved one or family. We were lucky enough to enjoy a fresh snowfall, which just made this beautiful landscape more picturesque and added a touch of magic to our stay.
