LONDON EATERIES – Captivating Cocotte

In vibrant Hoxton, you can find Cocotte. A restaurant that specializes in rotisserie chicken and lovely sides and sauces. You can’t go wrong with hot rotisserie chicken.

Cocotte’s chicken is healthy and comes from French farms. These chickens are free range and come from Evron in the Loire Valley of France. This gem can be found right in the city at Hoxton Square. The perfect getaway for a yummy meal, they even offer brunch!

From Monday to Friday, Cocotte offers their lunch menu from 12-4PM. Their brunch menu is every day from 11-4PM. Each menu offers healthy and sometimes organic dishes. And of course, each contains delicious rotisserie chicken.

For dinner, choose from either a full, half or quarter rotisserie chicken. Not that this chicken isn’t already delicious but you can make it more tasty with their specialty sauces. Garlic mayo, BBQ, Cocotte Mustard, and chicken mayo were my choices. They also have a lovely truffle mayo and green sauce. And for those of you who love spicy sauces, they have a spicy option as well!

Complete your meal by adding your sides. You can’t go wrong with mac and cheese! Their mac and cheese are baked and they use different kinds of pasta for them: shell and penne! Definitely reach for the Ratatouille as this restaurant is French and their Ratatouille is wonderful.

Cocotte also has great salads and soups, they are made fresh! The Nathalie salad was bursting with flavors. It contains kale and roasted peppers but to make it tastier, Cocotte adds pumpkin and sunflower seeds with a walnut tahini dressing. Don’t forget to pair your meal with any of the wines on their list.

The best thing about going to Cocotte during the holidays is their Christmas menu! This menu offers a quarter chicken plus three sides and a salad. Not to mention a variety of their special sauces and their Christmas Morrel Sauce. At the end of this Christmas meal, get your chocolate and hazelnut tart dessert with a coffee or tea. All this great food for £22.

Being in the center of London, Cocotte is super cozy and quiet. Their staff is attentive and helpful and won’t leave you waiting for a while. Cocotte is perfect for those of you who want to eat out but would like to stay healthy!
