40 IS THE NEW 30 – Touch up those greys in style
I am at the age where those pesky greys are creeping in and whilst I am lucky, as having fine hair they don’t really show, they are certainly there. The Gina Conway Salon Spa’s prices are very reasonable for an upscale salon, at only £26 to £35 for a root refresh, keeping those greys at bay won’t break the bank.
From the moment you step in the door you are made to feel welcome by the bubbly receptionist and are met with a beautiful fragrance in the air. The salon itself is very stylish, with tall ceilings and a grand coved ceiling. A range of products adorn a stand-alone shelf which separates the salon into two areas and modern hanging lights give the salon a warm glow. My first appointment was for a quick patch test and consultation.
On arrival for my hair appointment, I was treated to a relaxing shoulder and neck massage with beautiful Aveda oils. They certainly know how to pamper you at this wonderful salon. My stylist and I decided on a colour on a beautiful warm brown colour, a cut and a protein treatment on my hair which as you can see from the before photo was looking a little dry. My wonderful stylist Wagner mixed the permanent dye with semi-permanent so the product was not too strong for my fine hair. He certainly was knowledgable about different types of hair informing me that grey hair can actually make fine hair thicker! Perhaps those pesky greys are not so bad after all.
This is no ordinary hair salon, you will think you have stepped into a spa with the pampering they provide. I was overjoyed by the results! From the relaxing hand massage to a shoulder massage as you arrive. You will step out of the salon not only looking but feeling like a million dollars!
