ESCAPE LONDON – Take a trip to the Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs to enjoy a pretty sea view and delicious dining

Broadstairs is a pretty seaside town with plenty of restaurants and shops. However, when you stay at the Royal Albion Hotel there is no need to eat elsewhere as the breakfast and dinner menus have plenty of choice with dishes to make your mouth water. The lovely staff are more than happy to help, even though I felt bad when they happily climbed to our lovely top level sea view room with our heavy bag. This pretty hotel is only a 90-minute drive from London, making it the perfect weekend getaway! When you leave big smoke and set your eyes on the pretty town, beautiful hotel and smell the fresh sea air you will be so glad you took the trip!

Our bedroom had a lovely sea view allowing us to enjoy the pretty scenery, watch the seagulls swoop by and listen to the melodic sound of the sea. The room was comfortable and spacious with pretty décor, this wonderful hotel has a home from home feel from the friendly receptionist to the lovely rooms. They also provide plenty of coffee and tea, tasty biscuits, sizable toiletries, dressing gowns and fluffy white towels. You can sit in the tartan armchairs in the bedroom to relax and take in the view. We stayed at the hotel in January and fell in love with the fresh the sea air. This welcoming hotel can be visited all year round, but with such a beautiful sandy beach we are certainly tempted to visit again in the summer months. The bedroom walls are adorned with pretty seaside photos and beautiful green walls, almost an extension of the surroundings.
Hearing my 5-year-old say “Where are the pirates? They must be on their ship right now!” just adds the magic of this wonderful hotel which really is a must stay!
Hats off to the chef as the food is simply divine from, there are also plenty of choices for children making this hotel a great place to stay for families or a romantic weekend away, imagine those hand it hand walks on the beach! The breakfast is also to die for, and I can’t recommend the avocado with poached eggs enough! They also have a children’s breakfast menu available. The food is locally sourced, and they also use local seasonal products.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with olive green and beautiful plants dotted around. The breakfast view as the sun comes up over the sea is breathtaking and there is plenty of outside seating for the summer months.
You can enjoy a lovely night’s sleep in the comfortable bed with soft sheets, luxurious pillows and blackout curtains to keep you in dreamland. Falling asleep to peaceful sound of the sea outside your window.
We can’t recommend the Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs enough; it is certainly going in our Heart London Magazine list of recommended of places to stay. It really feels like they are giving you the personal touch to ensure your stay is fantastic. Whether you fancy a solo trip, a weekend away with your loved one or a family vacation, a trip to the Royal Albion is sure to create beautiful memories! This hotel receives a well-deserved 5 stars and the rooms are amazing value at around only £65.00 a night!
