The world’s brightest 5k

Wembley Park

Saturday 2nd May 2015

7pm – midnight

GRAB your glowsticks and fish out those neon clothes, because ELECTRIC RUN, the world’s premier night time 5km run/walk experience, is back at London’s iconic Wembley Park – and it’s bigger, louder and brighter than ever before.

The incredible event will transform Wembley Park into the stage for a lighting, entertainment and sporting extravaganza in which thousands of entrants complete a 5km course through six immersive ‘lands of light’, before crossing the finishing line, where a huge outdoor party with DJs, stage, screen and bars brings things to a close.

Immerse yourself in light and sound and become an integral part of the show, as you make your way around the iconic Wembley Stadium with a team of friends or family as part of a 15,000-strong throng of participants.

Electric Run is anything but ordinary, as towering installations flood the course with light and sound to create a moving party where entrants run, walk or dance their way towards the finishing line.

Excitement builds at the Start Chute, as groups congregate, surrounded by glowing columns, awesome music, lights and live screens as the party starts in anticipation of the run.

The route winds around the stadium and through a series of electric lands including Electro Rainforest, where a canopy of electric umbrellas create a spectacular world to run and dance beneath, and Under The Sea, complete with electric seaweed and glowing, giant jellyfish.

Following this amazing, sensory overload, runners will arrive at the finish line celebration, where lights, stage and sound make sure the warm-down is as much fun as the run. To really get the crowds jumping, DJ Neev of Kiss FM will be pumping out some awesome mixes to bring the night to a close.

Electric Run is perfect for participants of any age and ability, whether you attempt to beat your 5km PB or just stroll the course, taking in the sights and sounds on the way, Electric Run will also be encouraging entrants to raise money for their official charity partner, Breast Cancer Care.

As well as standard entries, prospective electric runners have the option to sign up for less with a Breast Cancer Care place, in return for committing to a fundraising target of just £65. In 2014, the charity managed to raise an impressive £215,000 to help towards the fight against breast cancer.

Launched in the USA in 2013, Electric Run swept the country from state to state and city to city, racking up over 300,000 participants in its first year.

And it has since become an international phenomenon, with events across the globe, including Tokyo, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Sydney, Berlin and Hong Kong.

Under the guidance of event organiser GE Sports, Electric Run UK has become the country’s premier night time 5km. After the inaugural UK event sold out with 15,000 participants, Electric Run returns bigger, better and brighter than ever before. So grab your trainers and get ready to become part of the show.
