Tucked away in Notting Hill’s enchanting Grade II listed arts space, The Tabernacle, a purr-fect evening of entertainment is happening this May.

If you’re one of the four million readers that propelled a homeless busker’s autobiography A Streetcat named Bob into bestseller lists across the globe and can’t wait for the film to come out later this year, then here’s a unique opportunity to spend an evening with author James Bowen and his remarkable feline companion Bob. All in aid of a very good cause.

The heartwarming tale which recounts Bowen’s recovery from addiction with the help of stray cat Bob has been translated into 30 languages, spent over 76 weeks at the top of the Sunday Times bestseller list and is currently being made into a feature film starring Luke Treadaway.

James Bowen and Streetcat Bob

This inseparable duo whose fascinating story of how an animal can help a human through adversity resonates with the work being undertaken by Ebony Horse Club, a charity in Brixton that uses horses to improve the lives of young people growing up in one of the most disadvantaged wards in the UK.

Gather your friends and head to the one night only event on Thursday 26 May (20.00 – 22.00) where ITN’s Alastair Stewart will take you on a voyage of discovery on how meeting a stray cat changed Bowen’s life and resulted in them busking around Covent Garden and selling the Big Issue together. The evening will include a book signing, raffle and auction with some terrific prizes to raise funds for Ebony Horse Club.
