New owners David and Doug (D&D) have just taken over this really cute, boutique hotel just and have done a magnificent job bringing it back to life. Vince greeted me, as promised, with a big welcoming smile and showed me to my room that had tasteful jazz music already playing in the background, cookies and bottles of water on offer.

Not many of the hotels in Palm Springs are able to offer spa services on site. But the East Canyon Hotel and Spa does. Pamper yourself with an ‘a la carte’ menu of spa services.

So if you don’t fancy the effort of yelping for alternative spas, calling/booking and breaking up your relaxing day at the pool by marching off to another spa location, you can simply walk a leisurely 10 yards to their on-site, convenient and calming spa and treat yourself to their soothing services.

The hotel has been updated with a very pleasant, modern style, attractive furnishings, luxurious bed linens, two different firmness of pillows and bathrooms with walk in showers. The East Canyon Hotel and Spa also goes a step above, by offering bath robes and the best toiletries.

Every room in this two story hotel has an agreeable view overlooking the shimmering, cool blue pool where you can relax lazing on the complimentary pool floaties. Cool, iced water is available poolside which is a refreshing necessity if you visit in the height of summer. For cooler evenings, you can sink into the jacuzzi surrounded by beautifully scented, luscious greenery.

Breakfast is served in a unique, family style kitchen where you can help yourself to a variety of freshly baked, continental pastries. However, instead of joining the other guests at the communal breakfast kitchen, if you are feeling a bit lazy after sleeping in the most luxurious bed linens, and prefer to indulge yourself lazing in bed, you will encounter the personal touch with an option of a complimentary continental breakfast tray.
