ESCAPE LONDON – Enjoy an exciting stay in Dublin at the quirky cool TrinityCity Hotel
The Trinity City Hotel is situated right in the heart of Dublin. With valet parking available, you can step right inside and start enjoying your visit the moment you arrive. The building is blend of eras, the classic detail of Georgian mixed with the sharp contrasts of Art Deco. Signature pieces of furniture are flushed with purple fabric making them stand out, a theme that continues from the reception to your bedroom.
Our room was a lovely size, big enough to relax and enjoy your weekend with a lovely balcony that has views over Dublin. The massive bed feels fit for a King or Queen with beautifully soft Egyptian cotton sheets, a cosy topper, and mattress you can melt into. The hotel has carefully picked out everything to ensure your stay is comfortable and the fluffy pillows help guarantee a great nights sleep. The silver shabby chic lamps stand out against the brush grey walls and you will adore the beautiful touches including the stunning full-length detailed silver mirror. The purple theme crowns the room with a plush velvet sofa at the foot of the bed. The bathroom exudes elegance and the porcelain tiles complement the marble vanity. Fluffy towels are provided to match the beautiful gowns and slippers.
You can really enjoy your weekend with the thoughtful breakfast and late check out times, so you don’t have to skimp on your night out in Dublin as you can stay in bed until 2pm if you wish! Yes, a 2pm late check out time, this is perfect for those want to enjoy Dublin’s nightlife or a romantic weekend. Breakfast is served until 11 am, so you can nip down for breakfast and back into the amazing bed if you so desire. One warning it is so comfortable it will be hard to get out of!
The restaurant’s menu has a plentiful choice of bed, meat, and fish. I plumped for the beautifully creamy and fresh goat’s cheese with toasted croutons and flavourful Beetroot and sweet fig with, a mustard sauce. This is a delicate dish that will ensure your taste buds dance and leave you wanting more The fig adds a welcome sweetness to the dish. My halibut main was paired with accompanying mash, which was soft and fluffy. To end our tasty meal we shared a delicate crumble, soft apple with a sprinkling of cinnamon and enough crumble to give it a crunch without overpowering the dish. The buffet breakfast provided a great selection of very fresh fruits, cheeses, salmon, a hot breakfast and more.
The decor at the Trinity City Hotel is a feast for the eyes, boasting bright colours and stunning gold mirrors. If you want to really enjoy the city then this is the hotel to stay at, the rooms are comfortable, the bed amazing and the timings perfect for a fun trip to Dublin. Whether you are visiting Dublin with friends, on business, or with a partner we would fully recommend this wonderful quirky-cool hotel.
