There is a wide range of champagnes and sparkling wines available and although we are firm believers that bubbles are for all year round, traditionally these lovely beverages are perfect to celebrate Christmas and bring in the New Year! We have tried and tested these wonderful brands, and not only do we recommend them we have made sure there is something for every budget.
Pasqua ‘Romeo & Juliet’ Prosecco DOC Rosé 2020/21

It isn’t just the beautiful name of this Prosecco or the reasonable price that you will love, as the taste is fabulous too! Unlike many sweeter supermarket bottles, their Prosecco is made in a dry style, resulting in elegant, velvet-smooth bubbles. This drink certainly goes down well and is perfect for rose lovers, the palate is fresh and fruity with attractive scents of raspberries. This is a vivacious and fresh wine that is versatile and quaffable, suitable for all occasions.

Woolton Sparkling Bacchus Charmat 2017

This lovely sparkling wine has a lovely scent of grapefruit and kiwi fruit that leads onto the palate with tiny fine bubbles full of lemon and elderflower. It is smooth and easy to drink. You’ll first notice the hazy appearance of the wine. That’s because with Pét-Nat the wine is transferred from the tank into the bottle mid-fermentation with the yeast, where it continues to ferment, and naturally creates carbon dioxide and bubbles in the bottle. To taste there is an initial burst of citrus energy and green apple crunch.

Veuve Monsigny, Rosé Brut, Champagne

This wonderful champagne boats an even blend of the three Champagne grapes – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this has a rich brioche and is full of red fruit character. The colour is on the amber side of pink and there is a flurry of tiny bubbles. The nose is cherry, citrus, light spice, just a touch of yeasty bread, and ripe plum. This is a great-tasting champagne available at an excellent price, so why not buy a bottle or two!

Champagne Lallier Grand Rose Brut

This elegant, fresh rosé Champagne from Lallier that is made with a blend of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay grapes. Aromas of fresh cherries, redcurrants, raspberries, apple and mandarin fill the nose, complemented by notes of honeysuckle, red berries, fresh lemon zest and a delicate salinity throughout the palate. This is a wonderfully soft and creamy rosé Champagne with a nose of fresh strawberries. The palate is a joy with soft bubbles and round fruit.

Champagne Tattinger Brut Réserve NV

Tattinger is one of Heart London Magazine’s all-time favourites. It is renowned for its golden colour with a consistent and fine lingering mousse. The nose is light and delicate with hints of peach and brioche. On the palate it has considerable depth,yet is quite light in style with a subtle elegance and a long fresh finish. This is a great non-vintage brut. This champagne has an impressive flavour profile and is perfect for a present or to toast any occasion!

Graham Beck Blanc de Blancs 2017
Graham Beck has been synonymous with quality South African fizz since 1991. This one is made from Chardonnay grapes hand-picked at night to preserve freshness. Expect aromas of lime, green apple and pear. The flavours of citrus, brioche and gentle spice lead to a long finish. These wines have even been sipped by the likes of Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama. It isn’t just the flavour of this sparkling wine you will love, it is priced at under 17 pounds!

CVNE Cune Cava
Founded in 1879, the CVNE winery is famed for producing some of the world’s finest Rioja. This Cava is elegant and creamy with notes of ripe apple and freshly toasted bread. Perfect for celebratory sipping. This Cava produces a wonderful release of tiny bubbles rising in trains which ends up forming a cheerful crown of mousse. It boasts fruit notes and typical nuances of aging in bottle. In the mouth, it is very nice, with slightly sweet points and final apple reminiscences. It is elegant and perfect for celebratory sipping.
